Julian Assange, owner of WikiLeaks, recently has been accused of rape and molestation of a 20 and a 30 year old woman. 6 hours later the rape allegations were dropped as new information was obtained. While the molestation charges still remain under investigation, Assange was more than disgusted with the false rape allegations and dubbed authorities as irresponsible and simply part of a larger ‘smear campaign’. His irritation mostly derived from the process and that they, the prosecutors, did not verify or complete any fact checking prior to these accusations.
In response to the still pending molestation allegations Assange continues to question the very essence of the accusations.
“I have no details on what that might be about but I cannot imagine any event where that would be credible. I assume that they say they are investigating it like they investigated the other claim. They found the other claim not to be credible. Investigating this one I assume they will find it to also not be credible “.
The Swedish authorities has not yet contacted Assange. He claims his lawyers are trying to reach Swedish prosecution to resolve this issue but have been unsuccessful thus far.
The interesting part of the accusations and timing is that Assange is planning another release of documents regarding the Afghan war. Some new revelations regarding the war are spilled out in over 15,000 documents that Assange claims to be reviewing prior to release. The U.S has already made statements to their allies that they should help prohibit any future leaks due to the sensitivity and confidential nature of the documents. In response, Assange has claimed he sent the documents to the government for review prior to release to avoid singling out any specific individuals. The government has denied receiving said documents.

It is obvious that, if even for a short moment, some ass clown can cause derision, or give ammo to the deceivers within the media machine to discredit someone who is seriously trying to let the truth get out in these days of Corporately controlled lethargic journalism, directed mis-direction, and seemingly rampant ignorance – they will. If you feel cynicism enveloping your soul at the sickening realizations unfolding – do not retreat into isolation and inaction – do not drink the Kool-aid – We are the many that mass media doesn’t want to acknowledge because if we find each other and engage once again, they are done. Well, at least set back for a while. So try to use your cynicism to confront status quo.
